Off the cuff I would guess one's true nature (beauty and life) is best
expressed when all levels that make up an individual are in harmony.
When that balance gets out of whack for biological or social reasons
(drug addiction or poor education for example), one may be more
susceptible to turn ugly and destructive.

Just a guess, Lithien. What do you think?
