Thanks for your explanation of the effect of the Quantum level. I did not
look at it in this way before.
However, you have made me very nervous. It seems to me that there is a
chance, however slight, that the coin will come up with 10,000,000 matches.
If this occurs will our goose be cooked? :>).
You are going to upset the southern fundamentalists here in the US if you
tell them that they are sitting on top of a gigantic gamble every second.
Thanks again for the clarification. The whole thing looks rather
ridiculous doesn't it?
I am going to have to think about this a while. If we generate a couple
of protons, or maybe quarks, every time a strong nuclear bond is broken
then this makes the potential stability of the universe dependent on the
number of atoms it contains, or, alternatively, on the energy level of the
universe. This supports my view of a living universe right down to the
spottiness of my slice of toast. Its fun to think about isn't it?
Wish we had a bigger universe, I would feel safer. Ken
