regarding the "five" senses and empiricism. if empiricism is only
concerned with what can be measured or "sensed" by the 5 traditional
senses.....(be patient with me, it's late).....how do things like when
we "think" we feel something (but it ends up being nothing) or think
we hear something (again....nothing). the traditional 5 are not
always accurate. most people (i think) have heard things that others
haven't....seen things that weren't there (or able to be seen by
others)....etc etc..... not sure where i'm going with this, but the
senses don't seem infallible to me.
