Static patterns don’t have Dynamic Quality. From Lila, Chap. 13:
“And beyond that is an even more compelling reason; societies and
thoughts and principles themselves are no more than sets of static
patterns. These patterns can't by themselves perceive or adjust to
Dynamic Quality. Only a living being can do that”. (Lila, Chapter
13.)

With regard to being able to perfect science . . . etc.
I agree we can’t perfect science. I doubt we’ll ever know everything
about everything. Heck, we can’t even predict which way a flea will
jump. My point was that humans have the capacity to improve
themselves. Whether they will or not is an open question. Sorry I
didn’t make myself clear.
As for Pirsig’s statements being true or not, I take it for granted
that his description of Dynamic Quality is true because he invented
the concept for his metaphysics. You are free, of course, to
described Dynamic Quality in whatever way you wish. It’s just not
Pirsig’s MOQ.
