    A "meme" is an idea or though pattern, or an interpretation of a previous
    one, that is spread and becomes widely accepted by repeated communication
    and use in a society.
    Like Darwinian evolution through the "gene" it involvse memory of
    information from cycle to cycle, and the possibility of mutation on any
    given cycle.

    Coined by Dawkins, popularised by Blackmore - a play on phonene, mimeme and
    gene.
