It turns out that famous DJs are dropping like flies. Scottso will always be remembered fondly to those in the NYC area where he reigned as program director at WNEW-FM, where rock lives, for over 30 years. The Professor was largely responsible for the introduction of free format radio and the rise of FM, and claimed many rock stars as his friends and had tremendous influence in the rock industry. His deep-voiced gravel was a trademark and his undying love of the music made WNEW, "Where rock lives", the best rock radio station in NYC for many years.
