PS:
[Platt]
I know. You worship the commune, I worship the individuals in it...
[Arlo]
Nope, not what I said. I said, I worship the dialectic that is the
"individual-collective" relationship, the force that drives evolution.
[Platt]
the creators, the responders to DQ, the Shakespeares, the Mozarts, the Wyeths,
the Luthers, the Carnegies, the Fords, the Wrights, the Einsteins, the Edisons,
the Platos, the Jameses, the Pirsigs and all the movers and
shakers who brought us out of the caves into the light of civilization.
[Arlo]
All of whom would have had nothing to say were it not for the "collective
consciousness of all communicating mankind" that they appropriated, relied on,
participated in, and contributed back to. Nor would they have a voice at all
were it not for their appropriation of, and participation in, the collective
consciousness.
You continue to worship individual red-blood cells, Platt.
