The whole question of human cloning is a bit of a sticky wicket as our
English friends who are fond of understatement might say. Obviously
the Giant will try to control it, but the result will be like trying to control
abortion.
I can hear the objections to government control now. "We have the
inalienable right to use our bodies as we wish. To impose regulations is
a violation of the right to privacy and reproductive freedom."
So following the MOQ principle of freedom and my own libertarian
tendencies, I'd have to go with a hands off policy on cloning.
On the other hand, the prospect of baby factories turning out various
"breeds" of humans gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
But--and here's my problem--I can find nothing in the MOQ to condemn
such factories as low quality, especially if they are promoted as
"contributing to the evolution of life.".
I'm sure I must have a blind spot about this and would appreciate you or
anyone showing me the light.
