well, not to make this a debate about native culture, but he and you speak
more of american indians. now, there are certain different 'tribes', in
which violence was a lot less eminent than american, and native tribes in
lower (actually, upper) canada. not to say they never fought, or nothing bad
happened, and it was some sort of paradise . It is they're lifestyle
outside of battles. I really think that the inuit (now, i haven't heard of
any violent wars or encounters between inuits) had a very good attitude
towards things, in some respects. The difference between them, and other
native, or indian, or whatever you would like to call 'them', varies greatly
on their temperate zone. I dont think , also, that it is correct to assume
the practices of "american indian tribes" to be applied to every 'tribe'.
It's too big generalization. Again, that is not to say that I would prefer
to have my scalp taken, and alternatives to bashing childrens heads, just
because they seem the least horrible. There are definitely differnt tribes
which were not that violent, unless it was a matter of survival.

    Time is short
