Re: MF MoQ BBS/Community

I think there are issues for the staticness of the proposed Wiki plan. If
anyone is able to edit or create any page, it seems to me like this would be
a wholly dynamic process. If someone puts a summary of some topic up, the
summary could be wholly edited and reworked to say something completely
different than what was originally intended. Although there's nothing wrong
with expressing the varying opinions, I feel a little uneasy about just
letting anyone change the expressed opinions of someone else. A summary or
any other post will never be objective, and letting it be edited and
reworked and otherwise contributed to would only confuse the original ideas
expressed (in my opinion).

I think that in order for this idea to work, a very precise hierarchy of
actions should be laid out. A step-by-step process, or perhaps working
through phases, to contributing to the MF topic at hand. I don't know what
this would be, as we would first have to decide what the overall purpose of
this endeavor would be (same as MF, just try to be more static / summarize
MD discussions / whatever comes up like in MD / etc.).

On the technical aspects of getting this up and running, I would love to
help. I'm experienced with just about every form of web programming and web
related programs and activities. I've got my own little personal server
(http://jodokaast.dyndns.org/) that I do various things with which could
have worked for the idea presented except for the issues of speed. This
server is not on a very fast connection at all, or else I'd donate it in an
instant. If a suitable host is found, I'd be more than happy to work on and
maintain the technical aspects of it all.

Brian
