Sorry you thought my response was flippant or as you put I was suggesting you,
'Don't bother me with your child talk!'. I take it you have not read my piece
on the MoQ website and have not read the fiction I sited. I have found that
often difficult concepts are dealt with first and in a much more
understandable ways in fiction, at least for me anyway. Why do you think that
Pirsig chose the rhetorical form of the novel to write and publish ZAMM and
Lila? That being said there are many published "futurist" books and many
websites, including the one I sited in my original post, with deal with, much
better than I can, the theories being proposed under the mantle of "Global
Awareness" If you are asking me to defend these theories as "going towards
Good" in an MoQ sense it would be very difficult to do given the remarkable
record of "unintended consequences" science and technological advancements
have had.

I do find it anachronistic that people (like us) who are early adopters into
their daily lives of new technologies are also the very ones so worried that
the various "Giants" (i.e. "the government" "corporate oligarchies" the
system" et al) are going to "Get Us." If it so scary and bad why do we do it?

BTW I think that both 1 & 2 are happening and will continue to happen and that
number two is scarier by far. Now will these events lead to a fifth level of
evolution I don't know, but the conscience manipulation of evolution by humans
sure seems to have potential for enough "unintended consequences" to make the
jump. Quite possibly without humans!

Another potential candidate would be the emergence of another sentient being
on earth. Surely "Dual Intellects" would be an evolutionary jump. I don't see
how the MoQ could rule that out in so much as the theory is that everything is
evolving toward "Good and Freedom" it seems "matter of fact" that eventually
something else would make the leap.
