Hi all,
There are 3 topic suggestions to choose from this month. As always if there
is not a clear winner - i.e. a tie - I'll select those that have tied and
ask for you to re-vote.
You have just under three days to send in your vote (no extensions).
There is only 1 vote per member so please don't vote for more than 1 topic.
I will not be forwarding the vote posts to the list but will post the final
results around 5pm (NY time) on Saturday, so don't get worried that your
post hasn't made it. I shall show all the voters on the CALL FOR VOTES final
results so if you don't see your name on it email me then.
Any topic that is not used will be added to a page of potential topics which
can be re-suggested at a later date.
Below you'll find the list of topics on which to vote.
take care
rick
DISCUSSION TOPICS FOR November 2004
==================================
1) How does the MOQ describe the phenomenon of love?
Perhaps with a better understanding of these concepts from MOQ glasses, we
can be successful in our affairs of the heart. Or perhaps it can be
understood that the nature of love inherently opposes any useful rational
understanding.
With this question I do not wish to alienate other kinds of loves. One's
love for his pet or his car or favourite recipe are equally valid; as
their understanding contributes to the understanding of the whole
phenomenon. [suggested by pi]
--- 2) What significance does drug-use have in Pirsig's writing and philosophy? And what original insights about drug-use and drug-addition, if any, are suggested by Pirsig's writing and philosophy? [suggested by rick] --- 3) Continue previous topic.
