Sam,
When I raised the question I thought of the psycho-active drugs that are
given to those who are distressed in the hope of alleviating their symptoms.
I wonder whether this approach makes sense for two reasons. First, no one
knows how the drugs work; not the doctors, not the researchers, not the drug
companies. And secondly, if someone is experiencing distress it could mean
that the individual finds her/himself in an environment that would cause
distress to any normally functioning human being; the reason for the
distress is not the person but the fact that the person is attempting to fit
in to a toxic environment. Take the person out of the situation and the
distress disappears. Without the use of the medication.
I went on your site and am currently reading it. Based on what I have read
so far, it seems that we might view aspects of the world in a similar way.
Regards to you, and thanks for the imput.
Nathan
