Welcome Mark. I,too, am interested in applying Pirsig to the human
condition. I am still struggling with Lila, in particular, how the Static
Patterns of Value with their attendant morals and values and 'the good'
will apply to Gaia and biological ethics etc. and present day society at
the same time. Value and morals are so difficult to define in this context
that it is very daunting to me. At present I have not much to assert but I
will do my best to 'discuss' if you will throw out the bait. As of now I am
not even sure what constitutes a new thread unless it is just the subject
