Hi Peter and Maggie.
Firstly, educate me on the 'epiphany' term. My dictionary only gives
"commemoration of the magis (The three wise men) arriving in
Bethlehem at Jesus' birth), but you - natives - use it in a
revelation or insight sense.

Peter, your insight reminded me so of my own "Mind at the end.."
epiphany back in the early sixties. It was shortly that all of
reality was LANGUAGE. It was immensely strong and convincing, but
simultaneously going against reason, and this bothered (a very weak
description; "driving me mad" is more like it) me greatly for more
than ten years - until I came across ZMM. I join Maggie in her
request that you try to unravel your line of thought.

Maggie, this paragraph from your reply to Julie made my day:

Particularly the sentence about pre-Pirsig thinking struck me. Yes,
now I really must STRUAIN (!) my mind to put myself into that
position - it seems so remote and limited.

Thank you both and ------Welcome Julie!! - if you see this.
