Talking about "keepers", I also printed off your "Platt's Principles" for a
permanent record. I agreed with them all.

As for your suggestion that Pirsig suggests "freedom" to my question of why
Pirsig "never explicitly and systematically rejects trying to avoid
destruction and unnecessary conflict," I fail to find this sufficient.
Necessary of course, but not sufficient. In addition, over time, effective
organizations don't have unlimited freedom. They tend to learn and to
restrict degrees of freedom that are exceedingly or consistently negative.
This process of variation and selection leads directly to progress, as
clearly ineffective variations are dismissed and rejected.

I am still feeling the MOQ misses something here...
