Not much. Not that I have anything against listening to music (I'm into
techno trance at present), and it is likely more rewarding than going to
church, but I can't see it as religion. To me, MOQ religion is best seen
as jnana yoga: purifying the intellect as a spiritual path. There is a
role for art in there somewhere: a reminder that "It" is all about
creativity, and that at some point in development the intellectual and
the aesthetic and the moral all merge. But for undeveloped sinners like
myself, the most important spiritual task at present is clearing away
SOM hangovers.
Then again, maybe I'm just an obsessive Classicist, and need to get more
in touch with my inner Romantic.
