Hadn't thought of it that way, but now that you mention it, right on. It
nicely cracks science's faith in the "objectivity" of measurement upon
which their entire church is built. One thing for sure: any philosopher
who challenges the absoluteness of the S/O divide will be banned (or
tossed) from the sanctuarys of science by the "no infidels allowed
effect."
Still, science's faith in S/O is "better" than some faiths I could mention,
like a socialist's faith in the basic spontaneous and natural goodness of
man. But, I digress. (-:
