Hi David
The first part of your post need no comments, it's just good MOQ
the way I see it, but then you pose these intriguing questions. Here
is the result of my "negative" approach which is so much terser than
the unending positive possibilities. I have reversed the order for
clarity.
> 1. What does time, space, energy and matter value?
To rise and keep above (formless) chaos.
> 2. What does life value?
To rise and keep above (dead) matter.
> 3. What does society value?
To rise and keep above the (frightening) eat-or-be-eaten of life
> 4. What does the intellect value?
To rise and keep above the (suffocating) social embrace.
This is a test :-) 5. What does the "Q" value?
To try to rise above (cold) reason.

My adjectives are only for dramatic effect. One thing though.
I wouldn't have put space and time at the Inorganic level. Pirsig
says that those are Intellectual patterns. Something that fits my
idea that Intellect is imposing itself upon the lower levels.
