ROGER FURTHER QUESTIONS DAVID ON FREEDOM AND DREAMS
DAVID WROTE:
<<
You ask, "why is the intellectual level most out of touch with Dynamic
Quality if it is the most dynamic?" and "don't dreams get the
biological level more in touch with DQ?" Instead of "most dynamic", I
should have said the intellectual level has the "most freedom". Its
range of possiblities is much wider and it doesn't have to wait for
Dynamic Quality to change and evolve.>>>>>>>>
ROGER RESPONDS:
Dynamic and freedom go together quite well as shown in your substitution of
one for the other as well as by the recent thread between Clark and JB on
Freedom/Potential/DQ. I guess I am confused on your interpretation of DQ and
change. You seem to imply that there is some other force for change than the
quality event (which involves DQ and sq). The quality event creates the
subject and the object. What force allows intellect to change and have so much
freedom that doesn't involve DQ ?
DAVID WROTE:
<<<<<<< The intellect's radical freedom
results in a seperation from direct contact with Dynamic Quality. The
other three levels are in direct contact with Dynamic Quality........
They "know" something your intellect doesn't. Your body and unconscious
mind are in direct contact with Dynamic Quality.>>>>>>>>
ROGER:
I think you have hit on something important here, but I question your exact
conclusion. I bet Bo and his Solaqi theory will have some input here.
DAVID WROTE:
<<< So
when you ask if dreams get the bio level more in touch with DQ, I have
to say no. The bio level is already in contact with DQ, but your
intellect doesn't know that. So what dreams do is try to tell the
intellect what the body and the unconscious mind already know. Dreams
are messages from the unconscious mind, which is in direct contact with
DQ.>>>> >>
ROGER CONCLUDES:
I have been interested in learning more about dreams and their VALUE, but I
don't buy this argument as stated. I do see dreams and art as relating to DQ,
but I think something is missing........
