I completely agree. Our "true nature" is beauty. At death we return to beauty.

Again, I agree. Art is a reflection of the spirit within.

I can't answer your question, but I do know that without ugliness and death
we would not know beauty and life. Our knowledge and understanding
depends on contrasts. "White" means nothing without "black," "up" is
necessary to comprehend "down," you must know what "in" means to
understand "out." Or, as Plato said, "There must be one for there to be
many." Implicit in every concept is its opposite.
Pirsig may have touched on an answer in Chap. 29 of LILA:
"If you eliminate suffering from this world you eliminate life. There's no
evolution. Those species that don't suffer don't survive. Suffering is the
negative face of Quality that drives the whole process. All these battles
between patterns of evolution go on within suffering individuals like Lila."
KEN:
Many thanks for the quotes from Einstein, the Michael Jordan of
scientists. I assume you are in general agreement with him and the other
scientists I quoted.
STRUAN:
I had a feeling all along that we were on the same page even though our
conversation started off on the wrong foot. (Pardon the mixed metaphor).
Thanks for the confirmation. I was hoping for it.
ROGER:
